Fishing in the Cursed Lake
This is no ordinary lake. Something beneath it "heats" the water — a force, a ritual, a sealed entity. Long ago, villagers offered human sacrifices to keep the lake calm. Now the lava rises, sacrifices turn into fish... and you catch them.
Gameplay
- Fish like in Gold Miner, but beware: lava rises and can destroy fish.
- Catch not just ordinary fish, but fish-people once offered to the lake.
- Sanity (SAN) affects dialogues and items. High SAN = clearer mind, Low SAN = disturbing reality.
Fish NPCs
- Fisherman – Half-human, half-fish. High SAN: "Don't cast too deep..." Low SAN: "Every time you cast... you bring up another one of us."
- Boy – Hollow-eyed child. High SAN: "I'm going for a swim!" Low SAN: "They pushed me in... I couldn't get back up."
- Priest – Fish head, human arms. High SAN: "It must be done..." Low SAN: "It needs more... it is never satisfied."
Player
High SAN: "I'm just fishing..."
Low SAN: "No matter how many I pull up... it still wants me."
Eerie Items
- Fisherman – Broken hook, wet net. Low SAN reveals hints of past human catches.
- Boy – Toy boat, single shoe, drawing. Low SAN shows dark water, dripping, and watchers.
- Priest – Living bait, ritual rope, stone. Low SAN shows movement, heartbeats, and fingerprints.
